The scimitar cat differed from Smilodon in almost every respect: shorter, coarsely serrated canines, long forelimbs and a sloping back suited to running down prey in the open rather than ambushing it. Remains dredged from the North Sea show it persisted in Europe far later than once thought.
Produced by photogrammetry from the original 1:20 sculpture and printed in resin at 1:35. Supplied unpainted and lightly sanded to remove support marks, ready for priming. Larger figures are printed hollow to keep weight down, with small drainage holes on the underside that are easily filled before painting.
Ideal for 1:35 military and historical dioramas, museum mock-ups and scratch-built scenes.
