Known from thousands of individuals recovered at the La Brea tar pits, Smilodon fatalis is the most completely understood of all saber-toothed cats.
Part of the saber-tooth series: a compact study of the head modelled at 1:15, cast in polyurethane resin and painted by hand in acrylics, with a magnet set into the back. The same sculpting and painting process as the full-size replicas, at a size and price that make it an easy first piece or a gift for a fellow collector.
